Relief Printmaking Workshop - Butte Creek Country Club (Chico, CA.)

Must be a Butte Creek Country Club member to sign up.

This workshop is focused on relief-printmaking. During this workshop you will be guided through the basic steps of block-printing by hand. You shall be designing, drawing/transferring, carving and printing your own art onto greeting cards!

This relief-printmaking workshop will be taught by artist Marisa Segovia (She/Her). She graduated from California State University Chico in 2019 with a BFA in Fine Arts (Printmaking) and a BA in Art Education, with a minor in Art history.

The $65.00 ticket includes - (1) ticket to the workshop, all workshop materials provided.

  • You will be taking home:

    • (3) - 5” x 7” greeting cards w/ envelopes (printed by you).

    • (1) - 4” x 6” linoleum block (carved by you) to keep forever.

  • This workshop is for ages 13 and above.

  • It is suitable for beginners - advanced. (No experience required!!)

  • All materials are safe and non-hazardous.

  • Bring an apron or wear clothes that you don’t mind possibly getting dirty.

  • Extra materials will be available to purchase for further printing at home.

  • Butte Creek Country Club is ADA accessible.

Pedal Press Residency (Chico, CA.)

I was selected amongst four other Chico local artists to partake in a two month residency. This residency is possible because of Pedal Press’ (Chico, CA.) hard work and passion. The residency is funded through Pedal Press and the California Arts Council.

During this two month period in Chico, Ca. I will be focusing on medium - large scale prints while reacquainting myself to a Griffin Press - Full sized press. I will be mainly creating visuals about social justice issues through screen-printing and relief-printing.

Please come out to support my art on May 27, 2023 from 6pm - 8pm for an art reception at Pedal Press. <3
