This workshop is focused on relief-printmaking, in specific block-printing with linoleum blocks. During this workshop you will be guided through the basic steps of block-printing by hand. You will design, draw, transfer, carve and print your own art onto paper to create greeting cards!

This workshop will be taught by local artist Marisa Segovia (she/her). Segovia graduated from California State University Chico in 2019 with a BFA in Fine Arts (Printmaking) and a BA in Art Education - with a minor in Art History.

Workshop Details:

• Date: December 7, 2024. (Sunday)

• Time: 10AM - 12PM

• Location: - Stoble Coffee: 418 Broadway Street, Chico, CA. 95928

• Price: $50.00 - per individual ticket

  • Ticket includes:

    • (1) Stoble Coffee $4.00 voucher for drink/food.

    • (1) Ticket to the workshop.

    • All necessary art supplies provided for the workshop.

  • Leave with:

    • (1) Carved [4”x6”] linoleum block.

    • (3-5) Finished [5”x7”] prints/greeting cards with enevelops.

    • Necessary knowledge to continue printing at home.

THINGS TO KNOW:

- All materials used are SAFE and non-hazardous.

- You MUST be at least 13 years of age or older to participate.

- You are REQUIRED to sign a liability waiver/photo release upon entrance.

- Workshop tickets and seats are on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis. (10 available.)

- You are highly encouraged to BRING any references or sketches that you’ll want to use.

- You are encouraged to show up EARLY to utilize your Stoble voucher.

- Stoble Coffee is ADA accessible.
